The timeline doesn’t make constitutional sense. The President would have to be reimpeached before a new Senate vote could take place. Presidents can only serve for two terms.

No, when they said Republicans don't remove him, they meant the Republicans stall. They then remove him before inauguration day and reinstate him, avoiding the two term limits. Pretty sure the two term limit is consecutive terms, for one, but by ultimately impeaching him before he takes office the second time, they may also invalidate his first term.
