June 2020: trump gets impeached Republicans don’t remove him from office Nov 3: candidate trump wins the election Jan 19, 2021: the senate removes president trump. VP Pence becomes president. Jan 20, 2021: president elect trump begins his *first* term as president and files for reelection in 2024.
Wait what happened to Ivanka 2024?
Ivanka/Hicks 2028
Ivanka was already elected and the ‘master brain’ of great America.
It's unsurprising that Trump supporters have no clue how our law actually works 😂
The timeline doesn’t make constitutional sense. The President would have to be reimpeached before a new Senate vote could take place. Presidents can only serve for two terms.
No, when they said Republicans don't remove him, they meant the Republicans stall. They then remove him before inauguration day and reinstate him, avoiding the two term limits. Pretty sure the two term limit is consecutive terms, for one, but by ultimately impeaching him before he takes office the second time, they may also invalidate his first term.
It doesn’t work that way.
