Which company is good for supply chain analytics roles? Amazon or Walmart?
Amazon
Walmart Labs
Amazon!!
Amazon has a pretty good org that focuses on SCOT (supply chain optimization technologies), with a worldwide scope. They would have relevant analytics roles as well.
Would you be able to tell us how to get into SCOT? What SC experience are they looking at? I have 4 yoe in supply chain/logistics and 5yoe in data analytics/business intelligence. That org seems like a perfect fit for me, but I don't know how to start. Don't want to apply until I am 100% ready for interviews and know what that Org is all about
I interviewed one Walmart SDE and we spent a few minutes of Q&A on supply chain. Amazon is farther ahead on tech, but if you join Walmart, there is more opportunity for improvement. Amazon also hasn't tapped many of the needle moving opportunities in the space.
Amazon...
Amazon! I think the supply chain tech org is hiring actively...
Groupon
Apple, Walmart, Amazon, and any of the big hardware vendors (Intel, Cisco, etc). Not Google.
Why?
Not manufacturing mass market hardware themselves
