TC for FANG in London, UK

The TC for SWE in the US is fairly well discussed. How does it compare to TC for FANG in London? I’m currently a tech / team lead in London. TC is £140k and 10 YOE. I’m interested in moving to FANG but want to get an idea of the likely TC on offer for a senior SWE or engineering manager.

70/30 split for base comp / bonus. A small percentage of the bonus is stock.

Bit OT - but from a Cambridge UK perspective and as someone who constantly researches market rates, your TC sounds bloody good, with your base (100k right?) being about on the money with what I would expect for a team lead in London if you're not in some extravagant hedge fund. I reckon you would expect 60-80k in Cambridge judging by what recruiters tell me for a similar role (and to make it worse, you wouldn't believe how many engineers there are with 15+ yoe on sub 50k round here). Amazing how this site puts into context how appalling UK comp is though - 140k sterling for a team lead is, as Boris would say, chicken feed compared to what you would get in US - and the aforementioned poor souls on sub 50k....let's not even go there). Interested in seeing if you get any responses from engineers in FANG beating your BASE by a large margin...less interested in TC inflated by share price growth compounded by the pounding sterling has taken.

How much base would be reasonable for 7 YOE senior software developer in London? Or Cambridge?

In finance and London I would say most devs would be in the £60-75k base range for 7 YOE. What’s your TC / YOE / location Sexybeast?

Depends. I'd say the range in Cambridge for that level of experience is 40-85k. So it's a huge range. London, multiply by the upper and lower bounds by 1.5. What's reasonable would be dependent on your skills. What you'll get depends largely on your negotiating, luck and playing the job market aggressively.

I think TC of 200k GBP for a senior engineer would count as rather high, but not unheard of in F/G.
