I have Precheck, and I still dread the process of airport security. First, despite being advertised as expedited screening, Precheck is still more onerous than pre-9/11 screening. There should be a process where I can submit to an extended background and character check by Homeland Security, and then be able to bypass TSA altogether, similar to how pilots enroll in the Known Crewmember program and enter airports through the exit lanes.
Wait, how would an extended background and character check prevent you from bringing a gun onboard? How long would it take for a bad person to game the system and bypass security all together?
Isnt that what clear tries to do?
Clear just gets you to the X-ray stuff faster instead of waiting in line for ID check. Still have to do the rest.
That's why I fly private 👍
Here is Midwest, it is common to have 2 sitter single engine personal plane
What is so onerous? You don’t have to take anything out or off.
"Your papers please" is here to stay
Agreed, and it should involve drinking a shot of bourbon and eating a strip of bacon, just for good measure 🇺🇸
That’s why have a Gulfstream G500 on shared lease. $250k/year = TSA no more
It's called Clear.
Pre 911 security didn't work
Agreed. But TC/YOE...?
