Teams at Uber
Can someone shed some light on some of the following teams at Uber un terms of Growth potential, tech stack, business value etc 1. Marketplace 2. Rider 3. UberEats 4. U4B I have an onsite interview in a few weeks and the recruiter suggested I pick a team to interview with since the initial team's position isn't currently available. I currently work on building enterprise solutions primarily using core java. My tech stack isn't very impressive at my current company and that's the reason I'm looking to move.
If I had to rank, I’d say eats, rider, marketplace and then u4B
How’s uber fintech?
Just by reading some blogs I was leaning more towards Marketplace. I felt UberEats team was catered more for people with Android/iOS dev experience. I might be wrong though. Rider I really couldn't find out a lot. Is marketplace a more less innovating team? Why would you rank it 3rd?
What about developer platform?
I was looking for teams primarily based in Palo Alto. They didn't suggest developer platform as an option
It was a question for uber folks. 😀 I was curious about dev platform compared to the other orgs that you listed, op. Thanks tho.
Those all are large orgs.
Stay away from ATG. That’s all I can say.

Eats. A much smaller team but fast growing biz with a ton of career growth opportunities
Are they hiring new grads? Would love to learn about opportunities for the iOS team
Pretty sure they’re open to hiring new grads. If recruiter gave you that option, you should be good
