Tech or finance industry
Hi currently I got offers from Two Sigma NYC and Google CA. the package is around the same about 300k with 3yrs exp. Any suggestions on company choosing? Thanks in advance.
You can always come back to Google and enjoy a good WLB. Go to Two Sigma and hustle for a couple of years, it might give you more $$$ and you’ll realize how the tech at a tech company is way more interesting than the tech at a financial company. After that, you won’t look back.
How do you feel about the teams at both places and the different locations?
When did you interview? What team you got matched for Google?
My advice would be to join Two Sigma. As a previous post mentioned, you can always go back to Google. Two Sigma, in my opinion, is much more selective and will give you the opportunity to learn much more. I worked at Google CA, it was good but I have become a better engineer since joining TS. From first hand experience, work life balance is great here as well.. also, the Bay Area is very overrated. New York is a much better place IMO :)
