I got a contact from salesforce about a “Tenured Engineering” position. Any idea what this means?
I don’t know about Salesforce but at CA there’s a distinguished engineer role that means you get to do cool shit but liable to get whacked also.
What, like by the mafia? Why would you recruit high end engineers and then lay them off?
Because CA. And there’s a perception that you’re sitting around not earning $$$.
GTFO after your tenure is over 😆
It’s not like tenure at a university where you can shit in the quad and keep your job. They mean you’ve worked more than 3 years, which in our industry is “experienced”.
