What's the normal interview time frame? How do they treat their candidates?
Enthusiasm is almost as important as knowledge here. Because you are going to get pushed to produce here. The interview process is normally fast, but the hiring process can be slow. It took one month for me to sign my paperwork and get relocated from Seattle. But I didn't need to interview, I was recruited by a former manager at MS.
We are not yet entrenched in our corporatism. Get personal with the personnel in where you want to work. Mostly they prefer certain backgrounds/experience. Prove fervor for Elon's mission and you'll be ahead.
ya you got to prove it to them that you are one of them..they heavily look for fit over skills..and please be ready to demonstrate that you love Elons koolaid
yes. very nutritious Kool aid
I'll drink the Tesla Kool-aid does anyone have any suggestions on landing a job there.
Have what's desired and apply.
Can be very fast (1w) if you're available and have competing offer. Process depends on the team, but usually you get a coding challenge to do at home (<4h), quite easy usually but we expect to see clean/robust code/design. Then one phone screen usually, and an on-site. In my group the onsite starts with a 20min presentation on a topic of your choice (live demo, whiteboard, slides, ...) followed by 3 whiteboard interviews (some interviewer let you use a laptop).
Their interview process is very fast. From the first HR phone screen to on site interview, it took 2 weeks There is mixed opinion of how they treat their candidates. Be sure to show lot of enthusiasm about Tesla and what they do.
