Sounds pretty googley to me. They have that thing in the company, brin, Rubin etc all like to bang their own employees.

1. Unless society imposes a very high social cost for such aberrant behavior, it will unfortunately continue. 2. This is probably one of the worst examples of dating someone from the same company. And the situation was exacerbated because the guy was a counsel (or at least from that dept.) himself, so he understood the legal ramifications (or not) of his deeds
