Housing first policies are the most rational way to address homelessness, but the ideology of both parties makes this an uphill battle. https://www.vox.com/2014/5/30/5764096/homeless-shelter-housing-help-solutions
Why is the image of Sarah Huckabee sanders?
Work camp is the best way. Tents, food for work, away from urban drug dealers.
No policies will help if bus therapy continues - https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4018206/
Wow what a crazy idea
they would strip the house down and sell the parts for heroin
The problem lies with the de-institutionalizing that was done under Reagan. And since 1981 when mental health care was switched back to the states responsibility, mental health funding had been cut. Until the mental health act can be reformed and we can keep these drug users and mentally ill for longer than 72 hours... they will be wandering the streets like zombies.
No it isnât. The homeless cannot be helped. The ones that can be helped are already well on their way.
Bullshit argument. Seriously
Thank you mr glass for the voice of reason
Wow, folks real offended by the idea of housing the homeless. Thereâs a lot of annoyed throat-clearing, huffing and adjusting of monocles, but pretty light on discussion of policy. Hmm.
That's what happens in a democracy, Ellis (even a socialist democracy). You need to learn đ. Now what if everyone here in this thread voted on policy and everyone had an equal vote regardless of the merit of their decision?
Oh, did you think that Blind polls were binding mandates on the US government? Wait a secâI didnât even add a poll to this.
Nope. It shows your ignorance. The problem is their personalities and mental disorders and addictions etc. They're not homeless because they've lost a home, no - they're homeless because they're not institutionalized to operate in our civilization properly. They'll sell their homes and be out on the street in no time. They need to be locked up and treated first. Also, stop reading Vox - their reporting and journalism is terrible.
So whatâs your counter-evidence to the studies from the article? Or is it that these studies contradict libertarian dogma?
@MrGlass you have been reported to Google HR for thought crime
