Anyone else bullish on HUYA? This is so called Twitch of China? For those millennial Chinese nationals, if you use them to stream or watch a game, how actually popular is it, etc. Thx in advance
Ни ХУЯ себе...
Lol, HUYA used to sponsor a Korean League of Legends team but had to pull out because they struggled to pay the players so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I bought at 16 sold at 20. Bought at 20 and again sold at 24. It only floated 10 percent of its tocks. YY which is more akin to youtube.com is the majority owner. Many institutional players are getting in. Their earnings will be released on June 5th along with Yy. I am looking to enter again.
Also, if you have some spare, buy IQ which is as they say Chinese Netflix.
Can you tell me more?
So iq and huya both went up more than 10 percent today. They both have rallied more than 100 percent since their Ipos few months back.
IQ provide streaming services both paid version and unpaid version with ads. It was spun off from Baidu, China's search engine giant. I think subscription costs around $3 per month. IQ also has signed rights to Netflix content in China and rumor is they will acquire iflix, which is another popular streaming service in Asia and Africa. Go to iqiyi.com and you can see for yourself what the product is. Also, iq has partnership with jd.com which is the second large ecommerce company is China besides alibaba. Iq sells subscription plan to jd.com users. Take a look at the attachment. I was just now researching the company for my own investment.
In game streaming, you have Huya. However, there are other companies like bilibili.com. Huya is pure ACG play which stands for animae, cartoon and gaming. Tencent is one of the lead investors in Huya. Go to huya.com and see for yourself. Huya spun off from yy.com which is more akin to youtube.com. Go to yy.com and see for yourself.
Yy is already profitable and less riskier investment than others. But potential for Iq and Huya is huge so are the challenges. You do need to look into risks and downsides for your investments.
Thanks. I dont read chinese, so your insight is very helpful.
Wondering too
