It won’t pass because Dems are obstructionists that have no interest in this passing. Hard working, educated, well compensated individuals tend to favor Republicans because they want less taxes. Uneducated, low skill individuals who depend on govt assistance favor Dems because they expand social welfare programs and promise these sad sacks more free stuff.

This is not going to pass. The Republicans want lower immigration period legal or illegal (except H2B workers for their farms, hotels and golf courses). Don’t play off parties. The KKK only endorses one. That should give you something to chew on.

We want the best and the brightest to come here, not those that will be a net drain on the social welfare programs... we have enough of those individuals already. Make a positive net contribution or go home!

Every Indian and Asian SWE is posting this ;) And no, Democrats favor low skill, low education individuals so they can be dependent on the govt and vote for them. Uneducated masses vote D because Dems expand social welfare programs while Republicans are in favor of scaling them back. You wouldn’t vote against your own interests would you? If I was poor and getting various forms of govt assistance, I’m sure I’d vote for the person that promised me more free stuff.
