Does Two Sigma have an Up or Out policy for SWE like FB does? At FB you have to go e3->e4 in 24 months and e4->e5 in 33 months or you get put on PIP. Does 2S have something similar? Also any general comments about the WLB or stress in general for SWE at 2S would be welcome.
at FB there’s no curve fitting until like org size = 250. and at that point it’s just for directional signal
Code for: FB has forced attrition everywhere. Larger orgs are more statistically rigorous about comparing performance

Nah pretty chill. I doubt there’s up or out just stagnation of total comp. I’ve definitely seen low performers just hang out.
What's FB's performance management system? Is it stacked? Forced distribution? Or at the manager's discretion?
Supposedly no stack ranking. Based on peer and manager's review each half and decided upon by a committee.
