The issue isn't the loss. They just don't seem to grow fast enough to ever be profitable.
Well they said in IPO that they do not know when they will be profitable.

Uber in a hiring freeze right now
This was a given, what are their profit lines and growth trajectory? They may invest a lot in other areas but monetization is a whole different thing that they can't seem to get outside of the core Uber taxi market.
Unless they start making money outside of the taxi business, like Amazon did with AWA, Uber is doomed. I’ve already started taking taxis at airports. Probably taxis will come back into business after the Uber craze dies off and becomes unsustainable.
Why are you taking taxis in airport
Got a rejection from Uber. J/k. More convenient, I don’t have to wait for taxis. Plus surprisingly they cost the same as Uber. I’ve also noticed that taxis are cleaner.

Change the company name to “BeyondTaxi”. Stock rebounded! Silly investors paying $3.9b for stock comp for our Uber bros. That being said, on Blind Uber bros claim to be next G, F or Amazon - where they stuck at 14% YoY rev growth at mere $3.2b! Huh..
Am I reading this correctly? So they spend $3.9 BILLION on stock based compensation in 2019 so far. Does this mean Uber spends $8 billion on stock compensation every year!?
