The Uber eats surcharge has been insane this past week. +$8-12.00 extra dollars. Get your shit together. DoorDash offering free delivery to me. Woo! This is in SF. Is it because of the protests?
I signed up for Doordash this week because Uber Eats was so overpriced. Had a terrible experience with them, though.
Doordash menu prices are inflated, I don't think Uber eats is
@870 I believe all platforms let restaurants set their prices. There is one particular restaurant that only uber eats will deliver from to my home. Their prices are ridiculously expensive versus in store. This is a fast food restaurant in NYC.
Every time I've used Uber eats the food has been cold, they take 2+ hours to deliver something that's quick as fuck or they get the completely wrong thing somehow. That or the driver is pissed he actually had to deliver. I don't fucking recall getting pissed I had to actually deliver shit when I delivered pizzas. I've given up on it.
Damn Doordash with their "free delivery" that costs $7. Stop pretending that moving all expenses into gratuity is benefiting me.
Doordash has a bunch of fee. Service fee, delivery, gratuity. Somehow I feel ubereats comes out to be cheaper.
Still better than Postmates charges
Some places also charge more per item as well. Seen a few places around LA that charge 20-30% more per item before any fees.
Grubhub seems to be the cheapest option for me
Occasionally I see $20 for almost every restaurant and $4 for a few random places. It feels like a bug.
