Surprised to see little to no snacks and beverages in break rooms at Visa HQ. All the places I’ve worked so far in bay area have a fully stocked break room with anything up for grabs. Curious to see what other people think of this. Am I just being unreasonable or do other people also feel this way. TC: 195k with 5 yoe
It's visa, not a tech company.
Usually on glassdoor under benefits people mention snacks, drinks, beverages, or lunch if the company offers it.
Qualcomm just has Coffee/Tea and Hot chocolate :) so if they have little snacks it's still better :D
It’s everywhere you want to be
All the teams under my SVP have snacks. It’s an organizational call.
Exactly my point, other companies have this by default kept in the common break rooms in each floor and not each team keeping their private stock.
You don’t get 195k with 5 YOE at visa. Now you know why no snacks
195k is a sr staff or lead engineer.. You probably have to wait for ages before they decided to hiring you because they will think 3 times.
Visa is not a tech company. Under vking logic, then every single company could be a tech company as tech is part of every industry.
Visa wants to be seen by the public as a tech company but they don't treat their employees like how other tech companies do. Sucks
I did a hackathon at Visa and there was a closer sized room FILLED with snacks and drinks
Not even bananas?
They have bananas recently and at cost of lower bonus 😂😂
