TC: 480k Want a stupid expensive car. For me, that means up to 90k. Drive kids to school, Costco runs. Do not consider used cars. Want an old-fashioned luxury sedan, no EV. European or US maker. No SUVs, sport cars, coupes, convertibles. Want an adaptive cruise control, 360 view camera, CarPlay, automatic. Mercedes E: too many curves. Volvo - for moms 😀 BMW series 5 - too mundane (boring) but was recently updated, well understood. Any feedback on Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio, Jaguar XF, Maserati Ghibli? (Edit: changed car make name for Giulia)
Giulia is by Alfa Romeo. All the cars you picked are renowned for shitty quality. Get a German car :)
Maserati Quattro Porte / will kick your a$$.
Out of my price range. I’m driving a 9 year old basic Golf 😀
Did you not say you can spend 90k, you will find a good used one with factory warranty left. You will also find a good Porsche like cayenne gts.
Porsche Cayenne
☝️if this then GTS model only. The base model Cayenne is just boring bad with a big brand logo.
Jaguars or Land Rovers
Tesla Model X
EV, Camry of the Sillicon Valley. I want to be a standout prick on the road.
Really, not too many X on the road as compared to 3 and S
Porsche 911, Panamera, or Macan
All the options you mentioned are not great car options for that price range. You should take a look at Mercedes S-Class, BMW M3-M5, and potentially another look at a Volvo Polestar trim. Alfa Romeo, Jaguar and Maserati are terrible cars that are overpriced and unreliable
+1 m5, anything but boring
If youre willing to spend more, buy a Range Rover. The top of the line is way beyond your budget, but the low end RR is about $110k. BTW, "stupid expensive" typically means "extremely expenaive". Almost all tech employees consider a 90k car reasonable or normal. I don't think anyone would consider that "stupid expensive". That might be 200k and up.
Amg c63, m3, Nissan gtr,
Bentley Continental
2 doors is no go - will make it harder to drop kids at school.
Put them in the trunk. It's sound proof so you wont need to listen to their whining.
