Want to emigrate from Luxembourg to USA, what to do?

I'm a Python/Java/JS developer working with one of Europe's largest bank. Europe has high taxes, mediocre pay but very high quality of life, holidays and ease of living. But my ambition is money and I'm willing to sacrifice my european lifestyle.

Background: I'm an asian with Luxembourg residence permit. 29 year old, 6 year experience. Previously worked in data analyst and moved to full stack role.

My question: Is it worth it for me to chase the American dream, or is it late? And if I can proceed, what next steps should I take.

Once you taste the apple fruit there is no going back. USA will give you money with one hand and take away later on with both hands. Once lived in two systems you will never enjoy either. Once gained money in usa you will find you cannot buy even feaction of peace of mind and quality of life of Lux with all yoyr money. Stay there. Dont taste the apple.

I was in same boat. Telling from exp.
The quality of life and peace of mind is way higher in developed europe. 5x savings can not buy fraction of that.

I lived 1 year in Europe so I am too speaking from experience (btw, I'm not American so also not biased for the US). Quality of life is similar.

Not difficult, free healthcare, free transport and cheap food prices keep things going easy. Real estate is bit expensive but a flat at city center doesn't exceed 1k in rent, fully furnished.

Then why would you want the American dream? It is much more expensive to live in the US. In US you will have to cover all the benefits you mentioned. The prices are even crazier in the Bay Area. People barely survive with a 6 figure job. Stay in Europe and you will have a much better life. Grass is by far NOT greener in the US.

The road to riches is very very long in Europe. Like said in the question, quality of life is bonus, but financial growth is pretty much stagnant for the foreseeable future in Eu. Moving from a socialist society to capitalist is the only option I can think of, of course it'll come at a cost.

The thing is that in the US working hard won't get you rich. It's all about the connections that a person has. With the ridiculous living cost and expenses, you won't be able to save.

People don't have job security. Companies laying off people is a norm. If someone doesn't get promoted within a few years, that person will most likely get fired.

The concept of American dream only works for those who are already privileged.

Half jokingly it’s easier to just walk across the border from Mexico to welfare California.

Yeah work for Google/Facebook/whoever in Europe then do a transfer here. Easy enough to get an L-1B visa for that.

Depending on where in Asia you're from, you might not get permanent residency ("green card") anytime soon- that may be a deciding factor in whether or not you want to stay here long term. But by all means live here a few years.

Around 3.2k per month, and we have 13 month payouts, so after all expenses, I save 2k every month and contribute towards small investments.

I want to emigrate from the USA to Luxembourg; I have an MBA and a lot of finance experience. Also, I worked in a bank - do you know if your bank hires Americans?

It is never too late to chase your dream!

You can get into some grad program and when you graduate you will get some type of work permit for 1 year. Data science is growing!

This has been asked over and over again. It's not gonna happen. You think you can do it but you can't. Immigration law is too strict.

Easiest way to here at your age is internal transfer with L1 visa. Some companies will on purpose put you in a EU or Canada position for a year to qualify for that while they try H1B lottery too.
