Google has (will have?) 3 campuses in Seattle: Fremont, Kirkland, and soon to be SLU (according to the below URL). I know Kirkland is mainly Google Cloud. What's in Fremont? Any idea what is in (is coming?) to SLU? http://www.seattletimes.com/business/real-estate/could-amazons-hq-bombshell-let-the-air-out-of-seattles-housing-and-development-boom/
Is there any major tech company that really has a second HQ that's in any way comparable to the mothership? I get that Amazon is cheap over everything else, so if they can save money by keeping much of their staff elsewhere, they will try it... I just can't think of a model where this actually has worked elsewhere. But assuming they really do cap it... growth at Google/FB/etc in Seattle is mostly driven by refugees from Amazon and Microsoft, they wouldn't continue to grow at current rates either.
My understanding was Fremont was Checkout but I may be wrong.
