Ill be graduating soon and thankfully started getting offers. Reading Blind makes me feel like every offer is soo low. What do guys consider “good” and “average” salary for a new grad in NYC? Want to make sure I’m being realistic here... Best offer so far: 100k + 5k signing

For Bay Area, good TC for a new grad would be anything which is 200 and above (base+ year end bonus + stocks + joining/4)
What companies in the Bay Area pay tc of 200k.
Companies paying 200k to new grads in Bay Area- LinkedIn Lyft Google (if you have counter offers but I would not let 20-30k deter me from joining such a solid Tech company) Facebook (although it’s very university centric- new grads from my school got an average of 75K joining bonus in 2018 but I heard for many schools 25k was the norm) Robin Hood Amazon paid 200+ to a friend who joined as new grad Applied Scientist in the Bay Area (don’t know about SWE offers)

Straight out of school? A Metrocard and free subway sandwiches
NYC? 100+ Nyc comp/col isn't great for SWE. But it's a dope city
Correction. The dopest city.
I got 160K base, 150K RSU, 80K joining, 10% of base as relocation bonus and other relocation benefits. But, hey it’s Cupertino.
It seems like the median in the Bay Area is $100-140k for new grads. People above that are exceptional and/or lucky candidates.

Welcome back Atinlay2. That is too much for a new grad.
Thanks. If you read on here you’d think new grads make 600k, and get a helicopter to and from work each day.
