I will be joining Facebook in London soon, and my position is E6, what should I expect for the role? I have 13 years of experience, working 50-60 hours per week, as Director of Engineering
Indian spotted :)
Wrong guess
Making coffee for E7s.
With sugar?
Blaming others for not doing your shit and call it as "delegation"
As a fellow E6, I'd say attend a LOT of meetings and feel like a complete impostor.
Sounds like my current job, I have like zillion meetings per week, planning a lot of my teams and communicating with a lot other stakeholders, and a lot of 1:1s Would this be different?
Probably similar with a lot of ruthless prioritization sprinkled here and there. First few months will be tough, but you'll be fine.
All of them.
What is your TC at FB
I am coming from outside of Facebook I am a Director of Engineering at Delivery Hero
Lol, what kind of post is this. No TC, no discussion with hiring manager on role?

Thanks a lot, finally a really useful answer 👏👏👏
Gosh.. why have you been working 50-60 hrs for 13 years? Isn’t there life beyond work?
Not for the 13 years like that, only my current job, and it's not like that through the whole year, these are the extreme weeks
You said “duties”
