Will ask for 5 preferences outside of the US. You can provide options like: London, Vancouver, Toronto, Cape Town, and so on.. Then you’ll probably have to find a job opening and apply for internal transfer.

Not helping me with my decision. Could you elaborate?
Relocate to another office where visa is not required or easy
How easy is it at Amazon? I know Microsoft sends all employees to Canada.
Existing employee or prospective employee? Like most companies Amazon will work a lot harder on behalf of an existing employee who loses status, than for a prospective employee whose visa was denied.
I am a prospective employee. I am currently on OPT and I have two more shots at H-1B. my question is valid for after I join and after 2 years. I still have two more H-1B tries.
By the time you have a problem you will be an employee. They would transfer you to see international office in that case (you would need to find the team yourself but they would facilitate the team search).
Microsoft arranged Canada move for me and my friends when we were on opt the third year. But my lottery got picked in last attempt and I didn't go (I wish I did). But they did take care though as promised.
Yes Microsoft is promising that. With that in mind I am not sure if I should choose Microsoft or Amazon. I have 2 more tries. Please advice.
Saw cases like mentioned in teams around me 1. Few moved to outside US, sister/different teams 2. Also saw that sde moved to sister team outside us under same senior manager/director, but still works for the same team and return to US after one year with L1 visa
Would Amazon take care of it like Microsoft does? How easy is it to move to sister teams or different teams? I’m worried because Microsoft is promising to take care by sending me to Canada. They have a program for international students. I’m not sure about Amazon.
I don't know about Microsoft, but moving to a sister team is a cake walk. If there is a opening available and how best they know you that you are good performer adds value to their team
Best is move to Canada- much better living conditions than on H1B - why even think about it so much ?
I’m willing to move to Canada if I don’t get H1B. Question is, will Amazon move me? Or would they just say I have to leave the company? How easy is it to move to Canada if I don’t get H1B at Amazon? I know Microsoft moves to Canada and they are promising it.
Yes Amazon will move you. You need to find the hiring manager who wants to take you (it won't be hard) then Amazon will pay for relocation and arrange visa.
