I have heard that I should "never go to Oracle". Can somebody please explain why? They just seem like another tech company, if falling a little behind.
It's a no growth sinking ship
Not in every team. I personally love working here. I am working on a great tech stack, learning a lot, no politics, great pay and nice WLB. I am sure not everyone is happy at google too
It’s relative. When compared to other options, especially with what you have at google now, Oracle is not worth it. For some others Oracle is a step up.
I don’t know anyone who would get a career step up going to oracle. Oracle is where careers go to die
You meant souls...
Work culture sucks!
There are different teams at Oracle. I was on a decent team, great WLB, no stupid promo/launch-driven culture but pay was shit.
Ok but your username is cool.
Cloud in Seattle is exciting and innovative, but that is only in Seattle and not California HQ which I disagreed with.
The new HPE.
What's HPE?
HPE: Hewlett Packard Enterprise... been out months in a cave lately?
