Anybody have some insight in this?
VPs typically have dozens of HR cases against them
Wow, how can that even be happening. Aren’t our leaders supposed to be our role models. Am I just naive?
Remember that HR is damage control, they side with the company, that's their job. They'll decide depending on what would be better for the company, if ignoring, punishing the manager or punishing you
Retaliation
From the company or from my boss? It’s already coming from my boss.
The company won't retaliate. But the person you pissed off will. So it has begun already
Depends on the HR team, the strength of the case and the number of complaints. I’ve seen folks go after 1 investigation and I’ve seen folks stay after 5. If your company has a compliance hotline where you can stay anonymous then I’d recommend reporting that way
We are a very small company and even smaller team under this manager. I’ve already started the process but we’ll see what happens.
Make sure that you document everything on your own and that you tell your HR partner you want to remain anonymous as long as possible (if not forever). But good for you for starting the process - if it’s not reported then there’s no chance it’ll ever get better
Look for a new job. You won’t win.
Second that. Best case scenario is that HR resolves everything, but the bridge with your manager is already burnt. Getting a new job is your best option.
The person who complained about the manager gets managed out of the company.
Great, better start sending out resumes...
