I received the email from Microsoft Immigration essentially telling me that my I-140 has been approved. Is there some place that I can/should download this from? Anything I need to do if/before/after I change my job? Currently on H1B visa. TIA. TC $170k
Indian? Wait 70 years, you may get your GC by then. Eb3 ? 150 years. Be sure to have a healthy lifestyle, so you can still be not dead and work to maintain status when you are 95 years old (assuming you are 25 now) ππ If you didn't read between the lines, you have been denied GC without actually denying you for the only reason that you were born in India. If you were born in any other country, with the same skills, by now you would have applied for i485. Also note that you didn't apply your GC 'representing India'. It was an individual petition that your employer applied for you because you possessed some skill (i140) and then you applied to change status (i485). Again the second part will happen after 70 years.
Check out the inversion. EB3 is ahead of EB2. The expectation is that the two will move largely in sync here on as people upgrade/downgrade in response to small offsets
If you are waiting in line more than 5 years, it shouldn't matter to you whether you are eb2 or 3. The ability to upgrade to eb2 basically means it's irrelevant.
Get married and have babies. They will sponsor your GC when they turn 21. Or move back to Indiaπ€
He didn't even mention he was Indian, why would you simply assume that?
Notice the Thanks in advance. πππ½ Definitely Indian. (PS I am Indian too - some of these are from British formal phrases)
If Indian/China, jump ship to other company and wait for priority date. Otherwise file I485
Go work at an international subsidiary of your company. Come back as an 'international manager', apply for EB1C, port your PD, get GC
Wait for like a decade
Are you sure? If you apply today on eb2 it's 70 years.
