Google onsite in less than a month (flying out to Mountain View). Those two phone screens were no cake walk. First time interviewing there. I’m doing SRE (SWE track). How did you practice? 5 YOE
There're two aspects - coding and system design interviews. Google stresses on your problem solving ability rather than speed. Talk aloud while solving the problem. Leetcode/CTCI is a very good source to start with. System design interviews are super fun at Google. Make sure you drive the conversation. If the interviewer starts to give you hints, it means that you're talking something which is not relevant to them. Make sure you quickly correct it and lead the discussion. Read high scalability blog, and popular research papers. Make sure you do a couple of mock interviews with your friends before you actually go to a real one.
I find a battalion is normally sufficient
What questions were asked in the two phone interviews? My current regiment involves going through the common interview questions track, Google track, and Google frequently asked (all on leetcode, I've already studied CTCI). Different days for different tracks. Made it passed phone interviews once, trying again.
I'll answer your question but before that tell me if you got a chance to do "one day with a porn star" video in buzzfeed.
I did not. However, I did do a few other videos that I volunteered for and ... I’m not proud of. (Won’t say which, but quite a few... lol, BF casts internally.)
Haha.. Don't tell me you were in one of those guys try women underwear videos lol
