What’s the guest policy at Google?

Can I invite my girlfriend for lunch/dinner every day? Once a week? Once a month? What about roommates and friends?

@OP Hey whats the policy at LinkedIn? Can I invite my girlfriend for dinner everyday (we live right next to LinkedIn offices in Sunnyvale so it would be really convenient for us to just walk to 700 and have dinner there)

You may bring in a guess for a dinner, but it has to have some „business” reason.

I wonder how some of you get hired...

Hungry for food?

Policy is four per month I think but you can do whatever

Facebook AsdfFdsa? Jul 20, 2018

Every day?? I hope they pay you enough that you don’t have to be that cheap.

There are a lot of weirdos at Google. When I interned there, there were people coming with food containers and stuffed them full. It was sooo absurd to me

Snapchat Q2Earnings Jul 20, 2018

I've seen people come early in the morning and taking all the bananas for themselves. No bananas for the rest of the day because of this boarding cheap bastards

They don’t really care

Blinders, you need to stop judging people. All I’m asking is the policy for guests. I want to know what the policy is. Period. Why does everyone assume I’m gonna abuse it? FWIW, I’ve been at LinkedIn for 3+ years and only had a handful guests.

Facebook lstagram Jul 20, 2018

No worries, buddy. You can technically abuse it any way you want. The policy is 2 guests per month who would eat with you, and any number w/o food, but nobody really cares if you don’t do it gross. So, feel free to bring friends for lunch almost everyday and grab boxes of food for your family. Let’s stop G be cheap first.

Is that a hard limit or just a guidance?

I assumed Google would have some kind of technology that enables finding internal information and answers to these kinds of questions...Or do they not deploy it because there's no ad revenue for internal info?
