What’s the max TC I could get?

I have 2 years of experience with 7 months of Facebook on my resume. My TC is a bit low because I’m an Enterprise engineer and not a SWE. TC is 150k (less now that FB stock is down)

If I went out and interviewed at tech companies in the Bay Area, what’s the max TC I could get and at which companies assuming I do well in interviews and negotiate well.

I’m not necessarily going to interview. I just want to know how much I could potentially be getting at the moment.

I know this isn't what you want to hear, but still...
You are doing well for 2yoe, I hardly believe you will be able to pull more. Instead of chasing higher TC and jumping ship so soon, I would focus on learning and growing as much as you can in your current role.

    Careers are marathons, not sprints.

Do you know the name of the best marathon runner? Nope
Do you know the name of the best sprint runner? Yes, usain bolt

I have had friends tell me the exact same thing. I changed two jobs in 4 years and have more than doubled my tc. So I think it's prudent to take advantage of the hot job market and make money.

430k (base, no stocks) at Netflix would be the max.

Netflix only has the title "senior software engineer". I know two guys with 3 years and 4.5 years experience getting hired at Netflix as senior software engineer. If you clear the interview, you'll be hired.

Prep/interview and transfer to SWE at FB maybe? Or move up the EE ranks fast?
