What's the range of compensation for SDE2 in Amazon Canada?

I interviewed at Amazon for SDE3 in NYC, and they offered me SDE2 with 300k TC. I tried pushing for 350k but they declined it. I imagine pay in Canada would be less

They wanted to hire me as a "high" sde2 with the chance to get promoted within a year, but seemed like bs. My current TC was 300k so I guess they wanted to match
I'm in the similar situation as you, but I have only 4 yoe. I really don't know what to ask for, since some experiences say 140k CAD tc is normal in Canada, and some say you can easily go for 200k.
130k is the new grad offer now days. theres no way 140k can be a viable sde 2 offer now.
How about total package?
^^ how does this make sense? If you fall in 30% tax bracket you only pay 30% for the income in that bracket.
