My dentist quoted me $6k which includes treatment and 4 sets of retainers to wear after treatment. I don't think mine is a complicated case but the doctor said otherwise. Just wondering what people have paid to get this treatment done. Thanks! Edit: estimated treatment duration is 8 months. Type : full set
I haven't used them personally but check out Uniform Teeth. It's a new orthodontist office in SF and I think their treatment costs $3-4k. https://www.uniformteeth.com/
If you can afford it, I’d still recommend Invisalign. They still have the most advanced technology and the most experience with teeth correction. You see a lot of new companies popping up nowadays because a lot of Invisalign’s patents are starting to expire
Yeah, I'm a fan of invisalign based on the reviews I have read.
5k. Insurance covered 2k
Pay 15k and get all on 8 fake teeth in Costa Rica. Made of Zircon and Titanium. Perfect white teeth and never see a dentist again
$5500 pre-insurance. $3500 post with dental insurance that has a $2k lifetime orthodontics max. Also took out the $3500 in an FSA, so saved on taxes.
400
$7000. Smile Direct Club & Candid might be more affordable alternatives.
My main concern is this part: “the doctor said otherwise”. If your case was complicated, then 8 months is too short to correct it. And the cost of Invisalign would only be higher if you needed a longer duration of devices, not shorter! So the reason I’m concerned is only because your “doctor” sounds like a dishonest practitioner, and I’d want to go elsewhere. Plus, you can easily save at least $1K if you get a more honest orthodontist. All the ortho does for Invisalign is take your impressions, adjust them using software to where you may realistically shift to, and submits them to the company who designs the entire treatment plan. The ortho has nothing to do with the stages of the plan, the technician in Costa Rica does (that’s what they said, no idea if or why CR but I remember that). 6 years ago I debated Invisalign and braces, which were the same cost (around $4000-5000 in NY). He told me that both would work, but he has little to do with the Invisalign treatment and cannot alter its outcome without have to restart. While with braces he could make adjustments and not lock into a program. I was around 40 so I thought the flexibility with braces might work better. So I went with that and it took a full year. It was crazy to be wearing braces at that age, but glad I did it. I kept breaking brackets and wires but they’d fix them as part of the price. He’d look around and tweak things that now look possible because we weren’t locked into a treatment plan. Once you’re done, you MUST wear those retainers every night! 5 years later and my teeth are still trying to shift back, I don’t think they’ll ever give up trying.
Mine took 3.5 years, and involves removing an extra tooth. Your case does not sound that complicated, if it's only 8 months. It only cost me 2k after insurance.
I was told to shop around for a quote. My dentist told me to look for places that specialize in the treatment as it may be cheaper.
$2000 after insurance
Did it come with after treatment retainers?
The retainers cost an extra $250
