If you left FB or Google within the last year or are planning to leave soon, where are you now or where are you going? Bonus points if you reply from your fb/goog blind account
We have a single commendment (Pay 10% and you will be saved.) and no Gods, prophets, temples, gospel, masses or prays. We call it the Sacred Church of the Minimalist Religion.
Google was my first job out of college, did it for about a year (left last month). Still searching for jobs and interviewing at a shitton of places but I'm only doing that because it's a lot of fun. Looking at startups in SF right now mostly.
@UhmWho? Not that badly! I'm really trying to expand my horizons, directly applied/indirectly applied/got referred to ~100 companies total, just finished my 5th onsite, about 3 more scheduled for next week and more coming up. I'm a people person so I'm having a hell of a time actually, going around everywhere and seeing what SF/silicon valley has to offer
Going to leave Google and travel for 3-6 months and try to build a remote friendly business during that time. Wish me luck! And let me know if you want to join
If I did, it would be for higher scope role at a top tier or near top tier company. It can be very hard to get promoted to highest levels at GOOG, and hard to get scope without those promotions. I enjoy jobs with broad responsibility, and I may need to go elsewhere to get there faster (probably with similar pay to staying at level in Google). It's hard to leave though. Great place to work.

But I can’t image why someone would leave G or F and join Snapchat!

I also see lots of them leave for startups trying to hit the jackpot. Usually, it’s heavy enough in equity such that their eyes light up with $ signs.
