Within 30 min subway ride to the city and has garaged parking. Budget 2800/mo. Thank you.

Streeteasy.com for apartments as well. I don't trust Google maps for transit times - city mapper is better imo. Google maps is too optimistic. Also add 20 minutes every other day for when the mta is having issues? :)
You can find a studio or 1 bed in Long Island City or Astoria with that budget. Parking in NYC will cost ~200-400 / month depending on where in the city. These are both within 30 min subway to manhattan btw. Might also be able to find something in Hoboken, Hell's Kitchen, or FiDi (maybe).

Yup! Absolutely for the first two. Will be harder with the other places I mentioned.
