Saved enough, ready to get out of the rat race. Kids still go to school, so can’t get out the country. Expecting: - good weather - low capital gain tax - good school - <1.5m house
TC and YoE?
What's your YOE? Did you make any smart investments or just TC, housing and index funds got you to that net worth? If I were you, I would pick San Diego hands down.
Who the hell is picking San Diego? Their homeless problem is so bad that there was a hepatitis A outbreak...
And it’s not even cheap unless you’re in Rancho Bernardo or further lol.. OP do not live in California if you don’t want to go broke
Answer is meaningless without knowing what you like and don’t like and how much want to spend for house? If you hate humidity then remove Florida. If weather gets you down then Seattle is out.
You are absolutely right. Updated it.
Boston (schools), Florida or North Carolina (weather and cola), San Diego (weather and still in CA). Arizona (heat and cheap). Denver is also nice if a winter person
Lived in a bunch of these places! AZ is great, imo. Grew up there. Love it and plan on going back. Bellevue is really nice in Washington - clean and feels safe. Seattle is super shit so, in the future, I'd be worried about it spreading to the east side. San Diego was cool. Too many down sides to it now. Illegals, high taxes, poor schools, and just crazy politics. Orange County is similar to San Diego. I like the area a bit more but both have their nice parts and both have shitty parts.
Thank you
Somebody at Microsoft making good money, you must be a GM/Partner+
Go florida, thats where everyone moving. You can get a beach house with pool with that budget, awesome weather, nice beaches.
Too many guns and hot in Texas, taxes are dumb anywhere in Cali sadly, Florida is a shit show, Arizona is fine but nothing is there, so Seattle east side is by far the best choice overall
Congrats OP 🍾
