Where to recruit laid off talent?

Are there any social networks or aggregators that a recruiter can go to specifically find recently laid off talent? Linkedin bios usually don’t show enough details to determine if they were laid off.

Exactly. If, for example, there is a voluntary separation program the best talent is the most likely to take it.

Why are you looking for laid off talent in particular? What type of roles are you looking to fill?

It’s what Steve Jobs called the “Ellis island” strategy. Usually less headaches than poaching from a top company. Looking for SWEs familiar w building trading platforms or similar. + Some marketing and community roles for the right people

I was laid off. Large companies like Oracle acquire other companies and lay off the majority of the workforce. If you searched on LinkedIn by an acquired or absorbed company and job title you may be able to track down people who were laid off.
