We're trying to get a mortgage for our new home, we're going with mostly 80-10-10 or could be 20%, what's the best lender around here for 30y fixed? I keep hearing of Wells Fargo and first republic, but can you guys provide some suggestions? Thank you
We went with WF in 2015 after doing comparison shopping for our specific loan terms which involved a higher down payment. We also were looking to use some of the loan conditions for tax reductions in that particular year. We compared their packages to what we found on BankRate.com and special offers from Intuit. I should note however that WF also gave us more favorable terms because we already had one mortgage with them (which was almost paid off) and because we had a long history with them as a customer.
Starone googain bankofthewest ... also consider random closing costs
+1 bank of the west. Best rates I saw. You get a .125 interest discount by opening a bank account there as well
Hey, what is the rate you got? Points? And closing costs?
