Any insight or opinions on today’s The Information/Sarah Kuranda article on the possibility of Microsoft targeting FireEye early in 2018?
Fireye has some of the best forensics software. But their business model is shitty. - long time investor of fireye. Biggest regret. Right behind Twitter. I at least was able to wipe my hands of Twitter without any loss.
Wouldn’t that explain our interest though? Great software, already ingrained with Microsoft, and we aren’t overly concerned with their business model?
I don't see it. I could see ibm or csco buying them. Or possibly msft buying something else.
We license their threat intelligence for our products. They also have an IR business that is very competitive with our own. Is it worth buying though?
Why would we buy them? What holes do they fill that others don't do better?
