Why moving from US to some other country is considered better than returning to India?

Blind posts suggesting Indian Origins in US for next destinations as Canada, Australia, UK, most countries in Europe, Singapore, and everything but India (and China).

Google traffic & air quality in Mumbai/Bangalore or other metros. Delhi is winner hands down

Amazon cKiV54 May 13, 2019

Good question! Would it be bad if we return back to Mumbai with 250k savings?

Nvidia showeridea May 13, 2019

Yes

How?

No one wants to live in India. Hardly anyone ever migrates to that country and all its people are hoping to escape from it. It is a terrible place.

Stay in your bubble much, huh?

Not true. Bangladeshis move there all the time. A couple floods and a handful of crippling food shortages is enough to spur anyone to action.

I've been to India several times on business when I used to work at Amazon. Wow I am thoroughly convinced that it has got to be one of the dirtiest countries in the world. And I've been to other developing countries, but there is no comparison. The filth is simply overwhelming, and I honestly never knew it was possible for air quality to become so bad. Weak organization, and corruption at all levels of government. Who the hell besides hipsters want to live in India?

Lot of Chinese actually return to their country. Indians don't because most are greedy for money and materialistic

Amazon seattle'd OP May 13, 2019

Debatable. I read the most blind posts with the mentions of India/ Indians. My understanding is - it has more to do with the quality of life and constant fear of going back to India. So I created this post to talk more about objectively looking at the pros and cons of going back to India vs migrating to some other country.

China is not an immigrant country and mostly if you have no Nobel, the chance to get a green card is NEVER. and Chinese only speak Chinese in China and Chinese think Chinese is the best language and not one of best. It is hard to learn Chinese. So China is not a good option.
