got an offer for FB E3. Everything was going great until i was asked to complete onboarding for facebook. It turns out the school email I used to apply with has a disabled FB acc associated with it. I made a FB with my school email a long time ago for school events and just never used it. It has no friends tied to it, no messages/posts, etc. FB’s algos decided to disable it. Now i cant complete my onboarding docs. Recruiter tried a few things, but we have to go thru my school email to initially set up and its disabled even though i sent in my passport, Drivers license, etc to prove that I am the real owner. Recruiter said she would escalate to see what needs to be done. She said dont worry about it, that im good. But what if they think its too much trouble and just rescind? I turned down other opportunities to accept, so if they do then not only would i lose FB, id lose 5-10 other companies :/. Its not like i broke a policy or anything, I just never used the account and surprisingly found it locked/disabled when i tried to access it.
Is this for real ? 🤔
No one wants to sell their soul at FB since Cambridge Analytica. Their offer acceptance rate is down 50% and they’re desperate to get anyone in the door. They’ll figure out a way to onboard you.
We’re supposed to trust Facebook with Libra, but they can’t even get this dude’s high school account unlocked?
How is this even a coherent sentence?
Because op used "but".
How do you get a job at Facebook with a disabled account and no friends? They used to require at least 1K friends as a minimum prerequisite.
I have a personal acc. This was just for school events
🤦🏻♂️
OP's next post "my gf has to take off her clothes to have sex with me, will she break up with me because it's too much trouble?"
They can't hire like they used to, no way they won't reject you over this. You're fine, don't eat too much free food when you get there.
lol - we have people from lyft coming in every week. No issues with offer acceptance there.
Just tell your hiring manager "you're so sorry this happened" and you "need to do a better job". He'll think you're leadership material
Your recruiter already answered your question.
Just anxiety bro. Enjoy and congrats on the offer.
There's no chance in hell FB will rescind offer over this. Just relax and enjoy your days before you get PIPed at Facebook.
lol @ obvious PIP conclusion.
E3 should be relaxing
