Worked at Google as TVC, contract ended and want to come back as FTE.. Advice?
Worked at Google as a TVC, contracted ended and I want to come back as FTE - have received internal referral twice, each time they fish my resume to hiring team (according to the initial email from recruiter) then give me a canned message. Why is this? Im actually over qualified for some roles I apply to.. Can anyone help me?
Contractor position has a bad stigma attached to it. Hard for hiring managers to push your hiring. Better to try FTE elsewhere and try again at Google in 2-3 years.
Ever thought your manager didn’t provide positive feedback?
He did, and cc-d me. Even forward my g-resume to the director to highlight all I did. They moved the role to MTV and him as well.
What do the canned messages from recruiter say?
1st the channel specialist would say team was reviewing my resume and they'd get back to me shortly, then she'd say they are going to pursue others but keep me in mind for other roles and I don't hear back. I took the contract role off my resume because of the "stigma".
