Preparing for a Hardware QA role onsite interview. Would appreciate tips on preparing for these interviews . (Phone screens have so far focused on fairly easy coding questions and leadership principles) A bit confused as I’m not a coder by profession (but a very good scripter 🤷♂️). So do I focus on hardware fundamentals or leetcode. I applied to this role because AWS is absolutely killing it out there and my TC at Apple is a joke.
HW doesn't pay well in general. I'll be surprised if AMZN pays more than Apple.
Heh.. QA for Hardware? Aren’t those called verification?
No. Can be anything. Hw is nuanced Verification is done on a code/logic level. Then there’s validation. Then you can have firmware QA that’s still technically hardware QA. If you making a board with 100 different components and ICs you need to test they all work well as a system. Manufacturing Test is also QA. I’m gonna start learning how to code Apps. And made a blind-hw app. I am convinced I won’t get any meaningful inputs here haha
I was going to snide you—but you work at eBay. I’d love to refer you when I get hired at Amazon lol
What hardware? I thought it was all in the cloud? /s since blind can’t detect sarcasm
Hehehe. Cloud, therefore vaporware
