You can write your own review. If they allow comments, which may be useful, they may open a mine field of spam, trolls and bullies
They could have voting buttons on both the reviews and replies and hide low scores. In fact it would make Yelp more useful for me to have a way to filter out low quality reviewers (I'm starting to use Google maps more now instead of Yelp just because of how unreliable Yelp is, it always was but it's getting worse)
Another thing is a way to ignore certain people's reviews entirely. Or to filter the reviews for people who tend to review similarly as you.
Yelp should break out scoring into food, service, atmosphere, etc. so I can filter just by food score. Lots of places with best food are 3.5 on Yelp because of people 1 starring it over shit like service or parking but I don't care about those things
Agreed. Also many girls love to adjust the rating up or down based on decor and ambience... for a fast casual serve yourself type place.
We have those review options and more restaurant reviews than Yelp. And, unlike Yelp, people have to actually eat at the restaurant to leave reviews with us.
Why?
For people to call out stupid or ridiculous reviews. I feel like people use the "funny" to do this now.
For the same reason that Blind allows commenting on comments like this.
