received the offer below for sr engineer @ amazon bellevue base: 160k yr1 bonus: 135k yr2 bonus: 110k stock over 4 years: 210 units comes down to tc $313k/yr phd + 10 yoe any thoughts on the offer and negotiation strategy?

L7 is a big jump from L6. You don't get L7 just by getting PhD and working in the industry for many years. This offer for L6 can be improved (if it is for Seattle or Bay area). The only way to get L7 offer is to interview for L7. You cannot get level increase by bringing a competing offer.
That's middle of the band. You should be able to get more. Perhaps 30-50 more units of RSU or 20-40k more sign on. If you have competing offers, that'll always help.
