How easy it is for Indians to study in Canada and then move to US for job? Can an Indian get a permanent residence in Canada if he does masters in Canada after Bachelors in US?
You need to become citizen. Then try TN but companies hesitate to hire TN and naturalized citizens are US immigration target to reject. Overall you need to become a citizen then try your luck, then apply H1B if you want to apply GC. Once you apply GC you are screwed, you cannot take TN. 2 years study + 3 years on PR to apply citizenship then job hunt ~ 6 years before you can come to US and no gurantee you will come to US. In conclusion, Canada citizenship is not gonna help you much in coming to US and Canada PR is useless in US.
To add to what is said above, assuming you are able to come to USA with a Canadian passport, and you apply for GC here, you will be treated as Indian, as I said in my first post above, GC is based on country of birth, and yours will be Indian, even if you passport says something else.
+1 yes. But you need I-140 to extend H1B indefinitely. And TNs are risky, even Canadian citizens tend to switch to H1B. It isn't going to yield much if coming to US is end goal. You are better off doing MS in US than all these hassles
Had gone through similar thought process. Eventually decided for MS in US. Don’t go to Canada if you plan to move US at some point. Going from US to Canada is easy but Canada to US is hard.
O ok. So should I do masters December 2020 in US or August 2021? I was planning on doing Masters in August 2020 in Canada
As soon as possible. There is no point in waiting if you know you want to do Masters at some point. Unless, you want to save up some money for Masters
Don’t! First become a citizen there before moving to US!
Get a FAANG offer and file your I-140 before coming here for the master’s.
Facebook that would be way to slow
Indian can get PR directly without being in Canada if you have masters degree , 1+ work experience, IELTS 8L, 7 others in 6 months. U don't need to do masters there. U Can enroll in annamalai University in distance mode and costs around 15,000 INR which is very very easy
It is point based in Canada, so whynot
I can easily get residence in canada but the difficult thing is coming to US after that. Jow hard is that?
PR you will need a visa. And PR doesn't mean a citizen, so if you can't establish that you live in Canada, they will revoke the PR
