I come in at 9 and leave by 4. I never check email or chime after hours or weekends and work from home 2-3 times per week. Amazon WLB is fantastic

What about Facebook? Everyone comments there is no choice due to peer pressure and shadow stack ranking. Plenty of stories of engineers being let go after years of solid effort and a few bad months.

How is Bloomberg comp for senior eng?
Pretty good (maybe a little less than faang but that’s ok to me given that wlb is better). It’s all cash (no stock) with high base (200k+ for senior eng) plus cash bonus. Excellent benefits, too - health insurance with zero deductible and zero coinsurance.
