Evaluate Google L3 offer

NYC location. 130/160/0, 15% target bonus so 190K TC. No competing offers and no plans on getting any, due to bad timing on my end. I think it's a solid offer but I'm trying to shoot for 200K stock and 25K signon. I have ~1 YOE. Is it doable? Thanks!

I’d say go for one or the other, both seems like a large ask, but regardless getting your TC over 200 with only 1 YOE is pretty rare from what I’ve seen. Good luck

Thanks! I'm more keen on the stock grant and I think it's also easier to get?

From an accounting standpoint stock would be easier to swing; from a practicality standPoint I have no insight to provide for google

How'd you manage that with 1.5 yoe? Perhaps it's the area, but I feel that 200k offers at 1.5 yoe are practically nonexistent. As someone trying to break out of the defense sector this is all mind boggling

Incorrect, you just need a competing offer. TC: 221k 1.5 yoe

At NG you’re definitely underpaid, but rest assured 200TC is top .5% for < 2 YOE; most ~T1 companies don’t start paying 200k until ~3 YOE and still that’s for top performers and everything is somewhat location dependent

160 / 4 = 40 so 170k tc. Math lul

There a 15% annual bonus off base at google for l3

Bloomberg DMyg25 OP Feb 17, 2019

15% target bonus. I've seen people calculating it like that so that's how I did mine.

Did you do well on the onsite interviews?

What is the take home after taxes in NYC for 130k base. (Without deducting 401k or health insurance)
