Got E5 FB and L64 MS offer confirmation. Waiting for numbers from both. Currently L6 SDE in Amazon. location seattle for both.

What could be the right target TC here for FB? Should i give a number to FB recruiter? He is asking for target TC and competing offers.

      460 is just the first year. I'd say it's 400 average of 4 years. It's not the highest e5 offer.

      @gentle looks like you took it different way. Im not boasting that i got highest offer from fb. I'm saying its very good offfer for me as I have no competing offer(MS doesnt count). I removed the bonus part now to avoid confusion.

      Recruiter himself confirmed this is not highest they pay. He said they can go upto 800K stock and 100K signon, if I show a offer better than this else no negotiation.

      It's a good offer. Better than my Google Seattle L5 offer. 380k average of 4 excl refreshers. I'm saying that there's room to increase if you can convince them to so.

    Tree fitty should be your real expectation. I’d ask for 420 tho.

    Meaning ask for 200k base, 10% bonus, and 800k stawks. Actually expect 180k base, 10% bonus, 600k stawks.

      fb said no before interview. said need 2 yr L6 exp to even consider E6

      MS said L64 max level they can offer based on interview.

      Is it depend on how long you have been L6 at Amazon? Are you newly promoted so Microsoft says max L64? Same story for FB?
      Cuz I thought amazon L6 is highly appreciated

      MS said 64 based on interview performance. fb says min 2 years as L6 to apply for E6. I'm 1+ year L6. though both can be just recruiter BS and real reasons might be diff.

      i have heard people applying as E6 with less than 2 yr as L6 but im guessing resume might be better than mine, AWS guys may be.

      Just curious, scope wise, is it really like E5 equivalent to L6, E6 to L7? Some said L7 has a bigger impact, similarly for L6. Based on what you experienced from interview, what’s E5 responsibility like

      Is 420k for sdm? I thought ic sde only goes to 380-390k.
      In that case, will L6 applied scientist tc range from 260k- 460k?

      i dont know AS range but i dont see a reason why it should be higher than SDE.

    Based on the numbers you posted below seems like an easy decision. MS is its usual lowballing-completely-disconnected self. No wonder I see posts of people from no-name companies getting shitty offers from MS and accepting them. Seems those are the only people who MS is able to hire these days.
