Facebook offer deadline: Is it possible to get offer deadline extended by 2 weeks or more?
I have an offer from Facebook for SWE, I am also interviewing with Google. My FB offer deadline is approaching. If I ask for deadline extension for 2 weeks to be able to complete Google process what do you think are my chances to get an extended deadline? Position: new grad
How long did you wait already? FB is very afraid of offer from Google.

There are many candidates who eventually go to Google once they are in this situation. I did the same. I could sense recruiter giving up on me when I mentioned I am expecting Google offer. I was honest though.
Google offers sometimes go to svp review which can take 2 weeks
But your company already shows as Facebook?
Yep! I interned with FB.
Two weeks is a long time. Also they will always know why you’re extending because there is only one reason people extend...not sure if they care though.

I also asked for 2 weeks
My fb recruiter want me to finish up the google interview and waited 3 weeks for me to finish google interview and it’s team match/vp review. Fb is very flexible. I ended up taking fb offer though.
Note that the earlier you ask to extend the easier it is. They’re not fond of people doing it last minute.
You should be able to as long as you don’t mention that it’s to get competing offers from other companies. Ask the extension with reason of “the decision being a big one”
