does google prefer to give rejections over the phone or would they just have emailed me? fb rejected me over phone so not sure how to read into “have time to chat about your feedback?”
Its impossible to tell what the results are based on the recruiter "lets set up a call" email. Here's my Google rejection email, verbatium: "I have received feedback from your interview. Thank you for taking the time to prepare and dedicate to the task. Do you have time next week to discuss the results?" I felt this one was pretty pointedly a reject. That said, other companies gave me very similar emails for accepts.
Dude, Google only hire ppl from Facebook, Uber , Lyft, Twitter, Airbnb etc.. Don't waste your energy in thinking about the result...they are biased, doesn't matter how good you perform in interview...
Lol what no. They just don't hire from body shops like TCS, Infosys, HLC etc. Any product company is more than fair game
Meh took them 3 weeks to get back to me. Ready to tell them to fuck off
What did they tell you?
Wtf is Dematic lol. Not all of us are dying to work at google. They need to make it worth my while. Google isn’t a godsend lol Beyond that, google hiring manager takes 3 weeks to think over feedback from a 1hr phone interview - who does that? As someone who conducts almost daily interviews, respect for time and professionalism goes both ways.
if you are grduated from IIT or top 10 college of US or you have done PHD and you are working and Google and maintaining the existing product..Yes you are genius..
You are talking rubbish. I know people who got into google from all sort of backgrounds. There are people coming from boot camps who get into Google. Don’t discourage people with your limited knowledge.
This info is enough for you.
is probably a no
You just have to wait until the phone call, but normally they say “good news” or otherwise give the email a happy tone if you’re getting an offer.
I was given good news over the phone.
I will update thread tomorrow y’all
OP is a good person
Ok Friends update...- I did not pass the managers phone interview.
Sad to hear. :( How you feeling?
I’m fine - the biggest bummer is that I felt the interviewer/hiring manager didn’t know how to host an interview and i paid the price for it. He was very nervous and just read questions off a generic list..no conversation, no introduction, no tell me about yourself. Very transactional. Either that or he already made up his mind before interviewing me.
I got rejected over phone last year for google
