typically how much time do companies take in preparing a job offer? i interviewed with the team last week, the hiring manager seemed super keen. after follow ups via email no response from the recuriter, it has been a week. any advice on what to do next?
If they loved you a couple of days, if not your their option while they are working with their first. But it does vary by companies
It depends. If the recruiter is OOO, that can delay things by quite a bit
At the end of the interview I always ask what the next steps are and when I can expect some feedback. Depending on the job and where they’re at with the process they may say tomorrow, next week etc Most of the time the recruiter will get back to me within the allotted time. If you don’t have a timeframe though it’s anyone’s guess
I had asked about the next steps and the hiring manager told me he will recommend an offer I should have asked a timeline which I did not. The history with the recruiter is that they are probably overwhelmed and so they are slow. I had to wrangle a phone interview an on-site interview by connecting with someone on the hiring team who then nudged the Recurtier. I am wondering if I should bother them again?
Yep I would reach out again
Thanks I will do that then! Sad to do it because obviously the team member is being nice and it is not their day-to-day job
Less than 1000 years
Lol! I wish I had a better sense of humor! You got something better?
