Oh my god if we could speculate market trends then we would be in the profession of buying options and flipping real estate. But we aren't. Also your TC is way too low to buy a $350k house Jesus Christ unless you have no other expenses. Why would you build a home with that TC? You can find so many cookie cutter mcmansions in the area
I got 100k cash in the bank to put 20% down. Generally, housing market price getting cool down in winter since less people buy houses than summer ( for school time). Thats what realtors told me.
That's a big difference. And yes that's true, but you have less options. Not sure if that rule applies when you're building a house.
Just curious: are you new to the area? "favorite builder" and brand new house at 350k in Dallas? Why not look for older properties, even those built around 2000?
I have been living here for a decade but I only started looking for houses for about 2 months. Yes 350k you can see plenty. A little bit further north, 280k. I prefer new since you have to fix things more on older house.

Carrollton, Lewisville are preferred but looks like the price range is 420+ Maybe Little Elm, Aubrey to fit my budget.
Carrollton is way better than Lewisville. Trust me. Move to Carrollton close to hmart area. Some houses there are 430k.

I havent seen this builder where I have visited. I hav been seeing over 100houses lol.
